Clare and Adam had a small civil ceremony at Winder Hall, followed by a humanist ceremony at her mums house and big wedding reception, with marquee supplied by bakerwood marquees and the catering by nick and his team from Winder Hall. Helen and Jason snatched their prewed shoot just before darkness fell on a fri afternoon by Bassenthwaite Lake. Their wedding is in 2 weeks time at Armathwaite Hall Hotel.

Just a quick post to reassure all clients that the studio is fine and open for business as normal from Mon am.  All appointments from mon onwards will be adhered too. If coming to keswick, please be aware that at the moment the ONLY access is off the A66 at the north end of keswick coming down into penrith rd. The westerly entrance towards cockermouth and the crosthwaite roundabout entrances are both closed due to bridge being damaged.

Jenny and David had their wedding at The Netherwood Hotel run with affable efficiency by it’s owner, Mike  with the service    held at nearby St Charles  church in Grange over Sands. Grange flowers did their usual excellent job with the bouqets and church flowers.

Anita and Steve were married in glorious sunshine at Augill Castle, a fantastic venue owned and run very smoothly by Wendy and Simon. They have the distinction of being voted the UK’s top b&b establishment for 2009.

Steve is a farmer so felt very comfortable being surrounded by fields, even if it was sheep and not his usual cattle.

What a cutey she was

This was the first wedding ceremony ever at Overwater Hall Hotel, a beautiful little boutique hotel nestled in a stunning spot close to Uldale. The team that run it,  Angela, Adrian  and Stephen were superb;  friendly, efficient and down to earth. It was a pleasure to work with such professionals.

Adele and Anthony had horrendous weather, but a lovely wedding. My everlasting luck came thro again and the rain and wind stopped for 20 mins, just enough to grab some portraits and the family groups outside before it returned and we finished the couple shots on the beautiful staircase.

Adele had a stunning Ian Stewart dress and THE best wedding footwear ever, boots to die for with killer heels. She was determined to add a few inches to her height

Joanne and Martyn celebrated their wedding at the imposing Grange Hotel in the south lakes. Joanne is a primary school teacher, and she and her class spent hours cutting out decorative butterflies for the tables in the days before the wedding. Despite the harsh sunlight(I know, not something many folk would complain about ) we got some really cool shots of them both, Joanne in particular was a natural model.

The wedding video was shot discretely and profesionally  by Stewart Groves of Carlisle.

Amy and Noels were married at The Langdale Chase Hotel, a beautiful venue on the shores of lake windermere.

Amy’s make up artist was the excellent  Lucinda Hayton and Alex at The Flower Shop of Ambleside did her usual stunning and creative job with the flowers. Amy had spent hours scouring ebay for teapots and all sorts of unusal items to decorate the tables with, and to hold Alex’s arrangements.
