Lindsay & Adam at The Netherwood Hotel, Grange Over Sands

wedding photograph at the netherwood hotel, grange over sands We had a great day for Lindsay and Adam’s wedding at The Netherwood Hotel in Grange Over Sands. They were a great couple to shoot, and as both were extremely good looking, getting good shots of them was like shooting fish in a barrel. The sunlight also brought out Lindsay’s incredible blue eyes fantastically well. I had a stroke of deja vu when we bumped into the video team, the very professional Fluid Productions of Keswick; as I had only photographed Andy with his wife and new baby about 3 weeks previously. The ever practical Lindsay, having no further use for her absolutely gorgeous dress, now has it up for sale. The dress is by a designer called Suzanne Neville and is an ascuitto special (made from duchess satin) and anyone interested can contact Lindsay by email at Lindsay.Kilifin@bellsoflazonby.co.uk.

Beverley & Stephens wedding at Langdale Chase, Windermere.

Beverley and Stephen had an intimate family wedding with 12 guests at The Langdale Chase Hotel on the shores of windermere. This is one of my favourite venues to shoot, everything is fantastic, the grounds, the views, the interior (always makes me think of a robber baron’s mansion!) and the staff. Clare, the owner, and Fay and Amy, the wedding coordinators are a very efficient and friendly team.

The guests finished off their afternoon with a cruise on lake windermere, to see more pictures from their day, just click below.

kathryn & mathews wedding at grange over sands

bride getting ready

Kathryn & Mathew came in to the studio recently to pick the images for their wedding album.

They got married at the local church and had the reception at the lovely Grange Hotel, in their home town of Grange Over Sands. They must have had the fastest get away from the church I have ever seen!

They had the contemporary photo shoot at the hotel, which was particularly easy for me as Kathryn is quite obviously a very beautiful girl. They also had a rather groovy wedding cake, click more to see a selection of images from the day (including a shot of that cake at the end).

Anna and Brendans Wedding Photography at Ripley Castle,Yorkshire.

Ripley Castle near Harrogate was the venue for a wedding from a couple of weeks ago.

Interestingly (for us) we had photographed the wedding of Charlotte and Gareth, friends of the couple, at Armathwaite Hall near Keswick the previous year.

Anna had fallen in love with their album when she seen it, and booked us to cover her own wedding.

Its a nice change to get away from Cumbria and shoot somewhere else, and I will take 3or 4 weddings a year like this.

Olivia the Ballet Dancer

Olivia’s mum had purchased a Portrait Voucher as part of a fundraiser for Greta Preschool.

The Preschool will be running the voucher offer again in September, so look out for it mums.

When her mum and dad brought her in she was a little shy at first, but was soon dancing away in her new ballet outfit! Here’s a couple of images from the shoot;

She loves pink, so we gelled the background light for some shots.

Simon and Angela at Augill Castle

I had the pleasure of photographing Angela and Simon’s wedding at Augill Castle the other month, which was great fun.

The couple were up for our contemporary photoshoot, even tho it was freezing, and actually started snowing on the bride at one point!
